Court docs: Octomom inks showbiz deal for tots

LOS ANGELES - Octuplet mother Nadya Suleman has signed agreements for each of her 14 children to earn $250 a day to star in a reality television show.

The contracts filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court guarantee the children will collectively earn about $250,000 over three years. The contracts require a judge's approval.

European production company Eyeworks has inked the deal with Suleman. Eyeworks lists "Breaking Bonaduce" and "The Biggest Loser" among its television credits.

The show is slated to begin filming Sept. 1, according to the documents.

The payments outlined in the contracts say Suleman's kids will collectively earn $125,000 for 36 days of shooting in the first year of production, $75,000 for 21 days in the second year and $50,000 for 14 days in the third year. Any extra shooting days will be compensated at the same rate.

The contract also states that 15 percent of the gross compensation will be deposited by Eyeworks into a "Coogan Trust Account," as required by California law. The monies can't be touched until the children turn 18 or become legally emancipated.

A call to Suleman's lawyer Jeff Czech was not immediately returned Friday afternoon. He has said previously that the family has hired an entertainment lawyer and established a trust for her children, ages eight and under.
Suleman and a Website that shot video of her children have faced allegations of labor abuses in recent months.

State regulators brought four citations against Web site RadarOnline for their video taping of the first two octuplets to go home from the hospital. The state Labor Commissioner said the Web site failed to get required state permits, videotaped the infants at hours and for periods that were illegal and failed to provide a child monitor during the tapings.

A hearing is scheduled on Monday in Orange County Superior Court, in the lawsuit brought by attorney Gloria Allred. Allred asked for a labor investigation and the establishment of a trust for the children on behalf of former child entertainer Paul Petersen, president of a group dedicated to the protection of child performers.

Suleman gave birth to the world's longest-surviving set of octuplets on Jan. 26. The medical curiosity of their delivery turned to public outrage when it was learned that the single, unemployed mother had been caring for her six other children with the help of food stamps and Social Security disability payments for three of the youngsters. Suleman said previously that some of the disability money was spent on in vitro fertilizations, which was used for all 14 of her children.

I am so sick of seeing sorry ass parents like these pimping out their innocent kids just to make an easy quick buck. And these are sadly not the only ones doing it. And then to have people support it makes me even more sick to my stomach. No one honestly cares about kids these days. That’s why they grow up and turn out as immoral as they do sometimes. The children don’t have any true responsibilities and they don’t care for the next man.....just like they don’t care about themselves but only what they can get for free, or what easy money they can make without any hard work that will benefit others. Some of them may not want to be a hardworking earner for their future family.

Are people’s lives in the general public honestly that boring, sad, or lonely, that they truly feel fulfilled when they turn on these types of television shows? Do they feel like they’re apart of something special or someone’s lives each week?

I think this is so sad for these children. Sure they look happy now, but long term effects could be good or devastating. I personally wouldn’t take the chance on my children. Especially if I had all the extra problems that these parents have or knew were coming. The kids may be cute to look at, but is it really worth it in the end for the children?

How long did Kate think her marriage was going to last when she nags out the wazoo, won’t allow her husband to speak two sentences without interruption or correction from her, ignores him, and treats her husband like he’s one of the 4yr olds when she does pay him some attention? Some news reports say Jon was her 24/7 maid, servant, and verbal punching bag that was constantly mistreated on national television.

Did Kate Gosselin honestly think and feel that they were going to be working side by side together forever? These two can’t even sit close together anymore. And most likely, Kate still calls the paparazzi when the TLC show cameras are off.

And did Nadya Suleman AKA Octomom, honestly think people were going to praise her for being a single mother when she didn’t have to be? She was artificially inseminated and had fertility shots to boot. She meant to have 14 young money makers that she could legally control.

Cuss me out on this blog if you want too. But I feel sorry for the children, NOT these SHOULD BE mothers. Because when they claim they are sick and tired of the press, intelligent people know it’s all just an act to keep the public interest so that they can gain more money from their dishonest attitudes.

I have seen these people on the news so much over the past few months. So much that I now mute the television when a new story is told about them.

I'll say once more....... Are people’s lives in the general public honestly that boring, sad, or lonely, that they truly feel fulfilled when they turn on these types of television shows? Well from what I just read this evening, it finally over.....maybe. Yeah, so, I'm a little late on the news

Hard partying drunken foul mouth girlfriend of 3 years. Vanessa’s not the kind of female you take home to your mother and then walk her down the aisle for marriage. She’s not mother material either.

I don’t know details about what happened and I don’t honestly want too. But I thought I would pass on this little slightly boring tidbit.

I just read that Nick's CD has been pushed back AGAIN so it won't be coming out anytime soon. Reportedly, not many people are downloading his new singles, buying the singles, or buying any tickets to see him ANYWHERE. No one is paying any attention to what Nick Lachey is doing at all.

And if this news of a breakup is to boost Nick's sales, because news of a break up did so when Jessica divorced him, then it doesn't appear to be working now for this CD. They need a new strategy to sell his CD...whenever they decide to release it in the next century And it must not be very good because it was due out LAST YEAR 2008!

New Batman movie to feature Eddie Murphy as The Riddler?

don’t think I’m the only one to hope this is just a baseless rumor. The next “Batman” sequel in the new franchise has been languishing since the unexpected death of Heath Ledger. Clearly, the filmmakers couldn’t simply recast the role, so they decided to go in a different direction and explore other Batman villains. And entirely - and quite possibly crappy - direction. Names are being tossed around for the roles of The Riddler (previously played by Jim Carrey is the craptastic “Batman Forever”) and Catwoman (played so brilliantly by Michele Pfeiffer in “Batman Returns”), and some of these names are just mind boggling. Top of the list: washed-up comedian Eddie Murphy as The Riddler. I know!

FUNNYMAN EDDIE MURPHY will play The Riddler in the next Batman movie, The Sun can reveal.

The Beverly Hills Cop star, 47, has been signed up by British director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN to reprise the role played by JIM CARREY in 1995’s Batman Forever.

The surprise move follows speculation linking Pirates of the Caribbean star JOHNNY DEPP to the part.

The film, set for a 2010 release, is being developed under the working title Gotham.

Execs have also signed up rising Transformers star SHIA LABEOUF, 22, to play Robin.

CHRISTIAN BALE will return as Bruce Wayne, while MICHAEL CAINE will again play Bruce’s assistant Alfred.

Meanwhile, Brit RACHEL WEISZ is said to be up for the Catwoman role.

Insiders also revealed to The Sun the flick will end on a cliffhanger over whether Batman survives a blast at Wayne Towers.

Nolan had been tight-lipped about the future of the Batman films after being rocked by the January death of HEATH LEDGER - tipped to receive a posthumous Oscar for his role as The Joker in Batman Returns.

A film insider said: “Chris wasn’t sure if he wanted to do another movie but as soon as he decided to, he got the wheels in motion.

“Eddie’s a fantastic addition. Everyone’s excited to see what he does as the Riddler.”

Please tell me this is all a joke. Aside from being occasionally funny as the voice of Donkey in the “Shrek” movies, I can’t think of a single decent movie Eddie Murphy’s been in since “Beverly Hills Cop.” He got some recognition for his role in “Dreamgirls,” but if you know his career, then you know that entire performance was just an extended version of his James Brown impersonation he used to do on SNL. And Shia LaBeouf as Robin? First of all, why does Robin even need to be brought into this new franchise? Robin is the lamest superhero character in the stratosphere. And LaBeouf is one of the most overhyped, overrated young actors in Hollywood. It sounds to me like Christopher Nolan went temporarily insane. Then again, what do I know - I was skeptical of Heath Ledger as The Joker when I first heard about him being cast. Maybe Christopher Nolan is some kind of directorial mad scientist. I guess we’ll have to wait until 2010 to know for sure.

While former couple Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling made headlines this summer after a little bit of PDA in Toronto, a source tells PEOPLE the two actors are both "openly single" right now.

Gosling "is still close to McAdams's family and he still speaks to Rachel, but they are both openly single," the source says. "He still loves Rachel and Rachel still loves him, but the timing is off and they can't make each other happy right now."

The two actors are staying busy during their time apart. McAdams, 32, is currently in London filming Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. In the film, she plays Irene Adler, one of the Holmes series’ most famous female characters.

The actress also took a break from filming Monday to take in some shopping in London's West End, where she browsed England's latest fashion offerings.

Meanwhile, Gosling, 28, spends his time in L.A., where he has settled into an almost weekly deejay gig at L.A.'s Bardot. (McAdams stopped by his debut gig back in July.) The venture has also inspired him to branch out for a career in music.

"Gosling is all about making music because he's putting out a record," the source says. "He spends a lot of time recording."

But not having McAdams in his life isn't keeping Gosling down.

"He has been flirting with a lot of girls in L.A. and weighing the options!" says the source.

Uh-oh! Avril Lavigne must have finally realized her career is going downhill at a rapid speed, because she’s gone and fired her management company. Her last album, The Best Damn Thing, sold only 5.4 million copies worldwide, which was a major drop from her 2004 album, Under My Skin.

Her tour did terribly too! Avril was forced to cancel several shows due to low ticket sales. Maybe everyone is just a little tired of the mean attitude she always has?

People were kind of shocked that singer Shania Twain, 43, was seen at the airport earlier this month with the husband of the mistress who is said to have broken up her marriage of 15 years. Shania and her husband Mutt Lange lived a quiet life in a compound in Switzerland, where Mutt is said to have cheated on Shania with his married estate manager. Shania and her husband were good friends with the other woman and her family, and Shania trusted the woman and felt understandably betrayed by both parties.

It looks like Shania is finding solace in the arms of the hot husband of her ex’s new girlfriend. The National Enquirer confronted Shania’s estranged husband with the news that she’s now with Swiss businessman Frederic Theibaud, the husband of his mistress, Marie-Anne Thiebaud. He said it was the first he’s heard of it, but he gives them his blessing:

Mutt went on to backtrack a little and deny he’s in a relationship with Marie-Anne, saying “The whole story was just a story as we are just friend in the same way Shania and Fred are.” I bet they are.

Good for Shania for moving on and rubbing it in her ex’s face. I hope her new boyfriend is decent to her. If they’re just playing an elaborate hoax on the media and their cheating spouses I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up turning into something more.
