Sophie Monk, the Australian reality actress/pop singer/woman in a bikini that used to go out with Benji Madden has a new title to add to her resume: Playboy nude model.

Formerly attached to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, Monk was approached by Playboy but the rocker didn’t like the idea of his girlfriend getting her gear off.

But now, with Madden dating Monk’s arch-rival Paris Hilton, the Aussie starlet is free to do as she pleases.

If she does go ahead with the deal, she will pick up a whopping $1 Million US.

Although nothing is confirmed at this stage, Sophie’s publicist Jenni Weinman wasn’t quick to deny a possible shoot.

“Playboy has always done classy portfolios, so I’m sure if this was real, it’s something that would be considered,” Weinman told News Limited

“I haven’t heard that she’s doing it and I haven’t heard that she isn’t.”

I wonder if Benji Madden’s mom is looking at her boy and just wishing he would take up with a woman famous for something besides nudity. Paris Hilton basically gained her notoriety from her sex tape, Sophie Monk is possibly most famous for appearing nude for PETA. Why can’t he just find some nice groupie instead of wonky faced girls who can’t keep their clothes on?

Sophie admitted to Australian radio that she can’t read about her former fiancé and his new girlfriend, saying “It’s just too real now, it’s not a joke.”

Sophie might be starring in a sitcom in the US, which is part reality/part comedy, that follows her trying to make a career in Hollywood. Do you think the writer’s strike had lasting repercussions for television? Due to the shortened seasons of major shows we’re getting filler programs in New Zealand, my favorite one being a show where they take obese animals and chart their weight loss, a biggest loser for cats.
