This week’s Star Magazine - which is going to have to do a lot more than score interviews to gain back any percentage of my trust - has a story that Kevin Federline wants to get his sons, Preston and Jayden, who turn two and three this month, into acting. This is said to have made Britney livid as she feels the boys are already subject to too much exposure. K-Fed has a laid back approach to it, and thinks that if they’re happy and having fun with it, there’s no harm. He probably thinks it might be a good way to supplement the $20,000 a month child support he gets from Britney, too. After all, he has his other family with ex Shar to think of too:
Britney, who’s been performing since she was 8 years old, “blew up when Kevin asked her about letting the kids act,” says the source. “She has said she would support them if they wanted to pursue a career in Hollywood - but when they’re old enough to actually know if they want to be in the industry. She wants them to have a normal childhood and feels like they are in the limelight quite enough as it is.”
Despite her opposition, Kevin has quietly taken the boys to audition for TV and film projects around L.A. He “thinks it can be a good outlet for them,” explains the source, because “Preston and Jayden are always singing and dancing around the house. They’re total clowns, even at their toddler playgroup, My Gym. Kevin feels it’s okay as long as they are watched over carefully and not pushed into it.” And right now, the kids are having a blast. Adds the source, “Kevin hopes Britney will come around when she realized how much fun they’re having.”

If anyone should know the perils of getting involved in show business from a young age, it’s Britney. Her lack of a childhood is said to have contributed to the many problems she’s had under intense pressure and scrutiny.
There’s a huge difference between enjoying dancing for fun and being asked to do it in a certain way for a job. Britney knows that, and she doesn’t want her sons forced to work long hours like she was. If this story is true, and if Kevin has any sense, he’ll back off and let his sons enjoy being kids. They’re only toddlers and they’re not able to make decisions about whether they want to get into acting at this point. They rely on their parents to watch out and provide for them, and there’s no reason for them to be working. It’s not like either side of their family needs the money. Maybe if Kevin would sell off some of the bling from his Britney days he could live a little larger without having to send his sons to work.

Britney and her sister are prime examples of what can happen when you force kids into show business. let them have a childhood for goodness sake. And what did star do to lose your trust? I don't read those mags.
