Matthew McConaughey is the favorite to revive the Magnum P.I. franchise on the big screen.
The movie hunk is reportedly in negotiations to take over the island detective role from Tom Selleck, who played Magnum on TV. Entertainment Weekly magazine reports McConaughey is currently reading the script.

I cannot imagine anyone else but Tom Selleck as Magnum! Matt M is good looking no doubt but not as tall as Tom. Isn't there someone else? I'd love to see a movie with all the old characters brought back for an update.
