Mischa Barton has been approached to join the cast of Gossip Girl. If she took the role, wouldn't that be ironic, considering how desperate she was to get off television in the first place.

GG was created by her former boss on the O.C. Josh Schwartz. Mischa's role would be Georgina Sparks, a scheme queen who unveils Serena's (Blake Lively) sketchy past.
